Senior Baseball Bats
Senior League has a number of regulations regarding the type of baseball bat that you can use and these include:
1) Senior baseball bats must not be more than 36″ in length, with a diameter not exceeding 2 3/4 for wood and 2 5/8 non-wood.
2) Senior bats may be fitted with a sleeve, but this must not exceed a distance of 18″ from the small end.
3) Senior Bats should not weight more that 3oz less than the length in inches, i.e. if the bat is 33″, then is must not weight less than 30ozs.
4) Non-wood senior bats must meet the Bat Exit Speed Ratio (BESR) standards, and should be printed with the BESR certification mark.
5) Non-wood bats can dent, so all bats that cannot pass through the approved senior league bat ring (2 5/8 diameter) will be removed from play.
It is important that you take all of the baseball bat regulations into account when choosing a bat for the Senior League, and ensure that your bat is well maintained and in a state ready for play when you arrive for a game. Game Officials will remove your bat if it is deemed unsafe or unfit for play.
